Visual Description
Nine pentacles are arranged in a diamond formations at the center of the card. There is order and symmetry to the arrangement and it is pleasing to the eye. At the center of the of middle pentacle is a smaller pentacle. It’s almost as if a seed was planted, and from the seed more seeds multiplied.
The outward-expanding rainbow swirls adds to this multiplying effect. There is an expansiveness to this card that is hard to miss. It is not subtle! Traditionally in tarot, rainbows correspond to happiness, creativity, joy.
Numerology + Suits
10 is a number of completion. It is the end of a road or the gateway to another phase or stage. This card represents a culmination of some kind.
Pentacles correspond with the element of earth and represent the material world. This means anything related to career, work, monetary resources, the skills we use to gain those resources, and the tangible goods we can buy with those resources.
Upright Interpretation
This card has the feeling of a birthday cake with candles blown out and the wish already granted. This is the culmination of some kind of financial, professional, or material dream: a promotion, a new job, a bonus, the purchase of your first home, getting a book published, cashing out your start-up equity, or the first money you earn as a freelancer doing what you love. There is a sense of victory in this card, the rainbow swirl almost like a fingerprint of happiness.
But this card has an expansive feeling to it. When you win, share the abundance with others. Don’t horde it for yourself. This is, after all, just as much a card of joy as it is of riches.
Reversed Interpretation
Something is holding you back from feeling or claiming this abundance. It may be that you do not feel worthy of it, that you are too impatient for it, or some external factor is in place as an obstacle to this culmination.
It’s possible you’ve lost sight of the original goal you had when you began on this journey. Are you grasping for riches out of greed, fixated by a scarcity mindset? Have you gotten off track and need to pause and reset your self before moving forward?
This card reversed suggests careful consideration and introspection before moving forward once more.
